🗽The OBIE Awards are headed to NYC! The OBIE Awards have always honored the creative work that moves people. In October 2026, the celebration moves too, becoming a standalone event in New York City that brings the advertising community together like never before. The new format reflects OAAA’s commitment to expanding recognition of the most imaginative and influential campaigns in out of home. Alongside this evolution, we are debuting the OAAA Honors Circle at the 2026 OOH Media Conference in Dallas. This new program will recognize the individuals and teams whose leadership, innovation, and dedication propel the industry forward. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/esYFuv3m

Holiday shopping is well underway, and this season, consumers are making decisions with more purpose than ever. 🎁 New forecasts from BIA Advisory Services, EMARKETER, and McKinsey & Company point to a clear trend: shoppers are prioritizing convenience, value, and confidence. That means they’re starting earlier, relying on mobile, and expecting brands to meet them with clear, timely messaging. Out of home delivers on that moment. It guides decisions in real time, supports mobile behavior, and reinforces offers where it matters most—on the way to shop, near stores, and at the point of purchase. Swipe through the carousel for highlights, then head to our blog for the full breakdown. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gnU4xYTq

As programmatic out of home scales, one thing is clear: trust is non-negotiable. That’s the message OAAA’s Anna Bager shared with ExchangeWire’s Grainne Reid and Lindsay Rowntree on The MadTech podcast in a conversation that unpacked how transparency, technology, and industry standards are shaping the future of digital OOH. With the launch of the OAAA Programmatic OOH Transparency Pledge, buyers and sellers alike are being asked to meet the moment, not with retroactive fixes, but with upfront clarity on inventory, economics, data, and delivery. 🎧 Listen to the full episode: https://lnkd.in/eH-n-Amw

That’s a wrap on our Discover OOH Day series with a final stop in Los Angeles, closing out with an afternoon of insight and conversation. 🎬 Dozens of agency and brand leaders across media, tech, and culture joined us for engaging panels and standout presentations that showed how OOH continues to drive relevance, trust, and impact in the real world. The day concluded with a fireside chat featuring Parkwood Entertainment’s Justina Omokhua, who shared insight on how purpose, creativity, and cultural connection build enduring brands. A special thank you to Anastasia Williams (she/her/ella) of TheAList for her support in bringing this event to life, and to our sponsors whose collaboration helps make Discover OOH possible. What happens when out-of-home stops being a billboard and starts becoming a behavior? That’s the question Anna Bager and I dug into at the OOH Future Forum in New York. The energy in that room made one thing clear: OOH isn’t static anymore. It’s dynamic, data-driven, and powered by intelligence that blurs the line between storytelling and systems. The same AI pressure we’re seeing in agency reviews, where clients want to see intelligence in action, not just hear about it, is now reshaping how OOH earns its relevance. The canvas is changing, and so are the expectations. To me, that’s what makes this moment exciting. We’re moving from “reach” to “response.” From fixed media to living experiences. From broadcast to behavior. Appreciate Anna and the OAAA team for leading such a smart, future-focused conversation. The next era of OOH won’t just be seen; it’ll be sensed.
