This paper presents a modified boost converter for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) in photovoltaic (PV) systems, designed to improve efficiency under partially shaded conditions. It introduces a SEPI converter for DC-DC conversion, emphasizing its advantages over traditional converters and discusses various MPPT algorithms, including Perturb and Observe and Particle Swarm Optimization. The modeling and simulation results highlight the effectiveness of the proposed system in optimizing PV performance despite environmental fluctuations.
