Please join us in congratulating Scott Orr, the new director of Permit Sonoma!   Scott has spent nearly a decade with the department, starting as an entry-level planner and working his way up to assistant director. He has served as interim director since July, when longtime leader Tennis Wick announced his retirement.   With deep experience in local planning and permitting, Scott has played a key role in many of the major projects shaping Sonoma County’s future. He was recently elected vice president of the California County Planning Directors Association, a testament to the respect Scott has earned from peers throughout the state. His career journey reflects the County of Sonoma’s commitment to creating opportunities for growth and leadership in public service – proof that there’s truly room to move and room to grow at the County.   “Scott has the knowledge and the temperament to lead Permit Sonoma into the future,” said County Executive M. As an Adult Protective Services Social Worker with the Sonoma County Human Services Department, Delia investigates reports of abuse, neglect, or exploitation involving older adults and people whose mental or physical limitations hinder their ability to safeguard their rights. Dr. Quach brings over two decades of experience shaping behavioral health systems across California, serving as a leader, educator, and community advocate. A Stanford-trained, Board-Certified Psychiatrist and Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Quach has led behavioral health programs at Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County, Momentum for Health, and the Santa Clara County Health System. In his new role, Dr. Quach will guide our clinical and medical teams, ensuring compassionate, high-quality, and community-centered care across Sonoma County. And he’s not stopping there — 𝗗𝗿.
