This picture was clicked on Monday 7th Feb 2005(exactly 20 years ago ) on my first day at work when I was hired as an Account Manager in US staffing at the age of 19 ( yes you heard that right ).I resigned from my career on my 22nd birthday in 2007. Sounds crazy right? What will he do at 22, with just 2 years of exp? No one taught me how to do this! Well, I started my own LLC the day I resigned, and within 3 months, Just when I made the business profitable, the market crashed due to the biggest sub-prime crises in the US and everything we made was back to zero In fact, I was bleeding money and was back to square one with no funds left. I still decided to continue staying positive and realizing the fact that a job can never fulfill my dreams. I kept looking for new clients and was persistent in my efforts. As they say !! "There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path". Finally, I witnessed success and growth over the years to reach the heights I never imagined but before I could finally take a sigh of relief, I hit another roadblock and my life went upside down. It was life's hard way of showing me not to trust anyone . I was cheated and thrown out of my own business which I nurtured and held on to like my own baby !! At the age of 30, I was again back to zero from where I originally started with debts accumulating every day. Life came to a complete standstill still and after some Positive thinking, I started everything again from scratch and finally started beginning to believe that anything is possible with great Courage, Knowledge, and work, something I used to say in morning prayers in my school but never paid real attention too !! phew, it worked In less than 36 months, we generated over $2M in revenue that year which was never attained before in the entire timeline of 10 years. It simply made me believe that you have to let it all go-- Fear doubt and disbelief. Then Covid when the world was in chaos & we lost a big pie too. Nonetheless, we never stopped chasing our dreams. Within 2 years we were able to gather more business than ever before growing 2 fold every year till 2024 when the US again went into a silent depression with a massive hiring freeze and layoffs causing utter chaos and disbelief for the Staffing business. Friday, Feb 7th, 2025( 20 years later )We are back to 20 % of business left as of today but with a smile on my face cos we haven't lost our way & are not even close to giving up. I am ready to take the biggest leap of faith to continue doing what I am best at & grow this company in the next 5 years to a MM-dollar business and I am sure I can make it happen just because I Believe I Can As a nearly 39-year-old small business owner (yet to turn 40 ), I want everyone to know You CAN have a stable work-life balance. You CAN make time for your passions. You CAN say no to a job that will take away from your happiness. You CAN & MUST protect your mental health. It has been HARD but it has been WORTH IT.
