Bzzzzzzzzzz... That’s the sound of humming power lines our team hears at the Daxlanden substation in Germany. Fully shutting down isn’t an option - this is one of Europe’s largest substations, vital for energy security. Modernizing it for our customer TransnetBW GmbH while fully operational means carefully timed line shutdowns, temporary setups, and dedicated colleagues working step by step over several years to meet future energy needs. 💡 What do you think is one of the most important safety rules when entering an operational substation?

🌍 We're celebrating International Volunteer Day with a look back to our first #Energy4Good Volunteer Week! To coincide with our 5th anniversary, our dedicated volunteers participated in 87 activities, including coastal cleanups, reforestation, and STEM workshops. ✅ 13,500 lives impacted 🌱 6,400 trees planted ♻️ Two tons of waste removed Volunteering strengthens our team and highlights our dedication to making a positive global impact. Through our new Energy4Good program, we focus on expanding opportunities in education, innovation, sustainability, and community support, especially after natural disasters. Are you ready to join us on this journey of giving back? 💪 #VolunteerDay

Living with an invisible disability means carrying a weight no one else sees. It does not mean inability, it means doing things differently, but not less. For individuals like Stephanie, their hidden #disability shapes them, challenges them and makes them who they are. On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we reaffirm that we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels seen, valued and supported. 💜

One of our hydrogen breakthrough projects won the Top Plant award by POWER magazine! 🏆 Our gas turbines installed at Braskem co-fire with 40 - 60% hydrogen and have operated with blends of up to 90%, moving us closer to 100% hydrogen capability by 2030. Advanced burner design and 3D printing made this possible, proving hydrogen can be the missing link for a greener energy future.

Did you know China’s first hydroelectric power plant has a Siemens Energy connection? #FlashbackFriday back to 1910, where two German engineers traveled to Kunming, Southwest China, and joined hands with a group of determined Chinese pioneers to design and build the Shilongba Hydropower Station. Crossing mountains on horseback, together they sketched the first plans and developed China’s earliest hydropower industry teams. After 21 months of dedication, despite social unrest and even a temporary refuge in Vietnam, the plant came to life in 1912. Driven by a shared dream of bringing modern energy to the region, this achievement also laid the foundation for a century of energy innovation and international cooperation. Remarkably, one of the earliest generators can still operate today — a living symbol of this pioneering spirit and entrepreneurship. Swipe to see the original design and the tribute that still stands today.
