We had our Christmas do last Friday, and it was exactly the reset we all needed. 🎄 The Seven Executive Limited team swapped targets for toasts, and honestly... it was exactly what we needed to wrap up the year. Good food, good company, and a much-needed breather after a hectic run-up to year-end! Recruitment can be intense, but evenings like that are a reminder of what really makes a difference... The people you work with and the support you give each other. Grateful for a team and celebrations that make the hard work feel worthwhile, and for the chance to reflect on what we’ve achieved together this year, our best year yet! We’re not finished yet by a long mile, but I’m already looking ahead to 2026 with energy, focus, and the same great team by my side! ❤️ #ChristmasDo #Packaging #Recruitment Amelia P.

There’s been a clear surge in broadband promos recently, and December isn’t following its usual script... AT&T is putting up to $150 in Visa rewards on the table. Frontier is going as high as $300 plus free installation. Verizon is stacking in monthly perks. The scale and frequency of these offers feel very different from previous cycles. Bundling has become the default play. Multi-year packages with 18–25 percent discounts and wireless–internet–streaming bundles are now standard as operators look for more ways to anchor customers. We’re also seeing aggressive first-year pricing. Frontier’s 2 Gig at $19.99 for year one is a good example of how far the competitive pressure has pushed the market. Even equipment has become part of the value story, with Wi-Fi 7 routers included on certain plans. Underneath all of this is a familiar but intensified challenge: Customer acquisition costs have climbed well above $200 per new subscriber, and nearly one-third of US households are actively open to switching. That dynamic alone explains why retention is drawing so much focus. It’s also creating a noticeable divide - Larger ISPs have the balance sheets to fuel this promo cycle; some smaller operators don’t. Naturally, that widens the gap and adds another nudge toward consolidation... None of this will surprise anyone who’s been in the sector through various cycles - but the pace and scale this year is worth noting. The tactics aren’t new, but the intensity is >

Are we about to 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸 packaging instead of making it? Over the weekend, I came across a piece of research that definitely caught my attention. A research team has created a functional, water- and oil-resistant coating grown from mushroom mycelium to replace plastic wrappers. Not applied. Not laminated. Literally grown in place on paper and fibre substrates. If a barrier layer can grow itself, we’re not just talking about a “sustainable material.” We’re talking about the early stages of living manufacturing, biology performing a role we’ve always relied on plastics for. And here’s where it gets even more interesting… As someone who recruits in the packaging space every day, I’m anticipating a shift: The next wave of innovation won’t just need polymer scientists or packaging engineers. It will need people who understand mycology, biofabrication, fermentation, and material–biology interactions, talent that most packaging companies simply don’t have in their teams yet. If packaging starts to grow itself, our talent strategies will need to evolve just as fast as the materials. This might seem like something to think about in the distant future...but it's certainly an interesting industry development nonetheless! #Coating #Packaging #IndustryInsights #PlasticWrapper #MushroomMycelium

My approach will ALWAYS be building long-term trust rather than faster hires! At Seven Executive Limited, trust is one of our core values and we show it in simple, meaningful ways 🤝🏼 So we’ll always be upfront with our clients. A role needs more than just a quick fill, and we’ll tell you the truth about the market, salary expectations, and timelines, even when it’s not the easiest conversation. It also means being honest with candidates about what a role really looks like: not overselling, not pressuring, just clear, straight conversations. Trust from my perspective is built through returning calls, giving honest feedback, and following through on our commitments. Consistency matters far more than empty promises. That’s how we build long-term partnerships, not short-term wins. If you’re looking for a recruitment partner who values transparency honesty, I’d love to chat about your experiences. #HVACR #Recruitment #Trust #SevenExecutive #Hiring

ProAmpac is acquiring TC Transcontinental Packaging from TC Transcontinental Big move in the flexible packaging space: ProAmpac, owned by PPC (Pritzker Private Capital), is set to acquire TC Transcontinental Packaging for $1.5B USD. The deal expands ProAmpac’s footprint across North America, Latin America, the UK, and New Zealand, and strengthens its presence in food, medical, and pharmaceutical packaging. For anyone tracking the packaging market, it’s another sign of ongoing consolidation. Bigger players are scaling up through M&A, which could impact talent needs, leadership opportunities, and market dynamics. #PrivateEquity #FoodPackaging #MedicalPackaging #PharmaceuticalPackaging #ProAmpac #TCTranscontinental

Our consultant Rebecca shares her take on Daikin Applied Americas's investment in a brand-new R&D lab - dedicated solely to this evolving space. Specialist systems need specialist talent. If you're building a team in this area, get in touch with our team.
Where is HVAC innovation heading? 📢 I just read this article and Daikin Applied Americas is putting a 71,000 sq ft R&D lab in Minneapolis focused entirely on data centre cooling. It’s great to see where HVACR is heading. With data centres becoming a bigger focus, manufacturers are moving fast to keep up. The scale of investment is showing the industry just how seriously cooling is being taken in these high-tech spaces! So how do we build the teams that can keep critical systems running efficiently? Cooling requirements are getting more complex and investing in the right technology now can pay off in reliability and cost savings later. Very interesting to see the industry move toward more specialised solutions in data centre cooling... Would be keen to chat with others on this - comment below or DM me! #HVACR #DataCentres #Cooling 📸: Cooling Post Ltd
