🧠 Why Architecture Diagrams Aren’t Enough – and What to Do Instead

Architecture diagrams are everywhere. But let’s be honest… they rarely tell the full story. If you've ever had to "present your architecture" and ended up talking for 20 minutes to explain your diagram — you're not alone.

In this video, we unpack why even the best diagrams (C4, UML, arc42...) often fail to communicate what stakeholders really care about:

âś… What's the business context?
âś… Who are the stakeholders, and what are their concerns?
âś… How does this architecture align with the overall plan?

We explore what executives and business leaders are actually asking:
➡️ What value are we enabling?
➡️ What risks are we managing?
➡️ What needs to happen — by when, and with whom?

To bridge that gap, I introduce The Architecture Work Canvas — a simple one-page tool that brings together context, stakeholders, and outcomes in a clear, actionable way.

It’s part of a broader initiative I call QTAM: The Quick Technical Architecture Method — built for developers, tech leads, and architects who want to turn technical insight into business impact.

📌 Learn how the Canvas complements C4, arc42, and TOGAF-based approaches
📌 Hear a real-world example where it accelerated alignment and approvals
📌 Find out how you can use the Canvas to gain stakeholder buy-in — faster
