Greetings, my dear reader!
Let me introduce myself - I'm yet another faceless software engineer. It is, after all, the worst decease of all and get this - I've had it for almost a decade. No, my face is still intact, but my mind is twisted in a way that even its owner can't understand.
Why write?
Just 5 minutes ago I've decided to give it shot - to start writing articles on DEV. Why?
I want to share some of the things I've messed around with. I am under the impression that some of the stuff I've learned is worth documenting on the Internet. That is further confirmed by the sheer amount of garbage available on the net. No harm in pissing in a landfill.
I like speaking into the void.
Having an illusion of responsibility to provide articles for readers might give me a kick in the balls to actually finish projects once in a while.
No other reason, here's a picture of a cat instead (I've been informed humans like cat animals):
Attention everyone
Please write down your favorite kind of cat in the comments.
If you are allergic to cats maybe you can suggest a topic I should write about.
Topics
The topics I plan to cover are all over the place:
- Process of building useful applications for every-day use.
- Hacking and reverse-engineering game consoles and games.
- Doing UI challenges.
- Writing gamedev logs.
- Exploring computer graphics and math.
- My random goof-off coding projects.
- Documenting design of electromechanical devices and hardware mods.
- Promoting my music.
All of the above sprinkled with rambling philosophy. No AI and definitely no "I sold my 5 day vibe-coded app for $100k" (I'm not crying).
Conclusion
Fellas, what we have here is a strong case of "yap it out" syndrome. If anyone's along for that ride, I won't mind as long as ya pay your fare and take it in stride.

As a fellow individual self-diagnosed with "yap-it-out" syndrome, I approve of this message. Also cute cat but as someone with a tortoise shell cat I think I'm obliged to only like tortoise shells, specifically my own and although she hasn't explicitly conveyed this rule to me I feel thats what she's basically saying when she stares at me from across the room๐ . In conclusion: where can I get a ticket to join this ride?
Oh I love tortoise shell cats - we had one a long time ago. She would never leave you alone and always got in trouble with neighbours for stealing food. Precious little cat. As for the ticket - I woudn't worry, cause you already have all that you need ๐. Stick around if ya want, I'm doing an actual post this week
Haha yeah she does have a tendency to follow me everywhere and pop up at random moments, she's super adorable. I also have a tendency to follow her around everywhere too cos, again, she is super adorable. That's amazing that you had a tortoise shell cat too! What are the odds?!๐ฑ๐ I hope your cat is doing well, she sounds positively perfect. And I shall gladly stick around and await your next post, you're writing style is awesome btw. As I was reading your post I was stuck between laughing or contemplating whether or not I should grab my notepad and take notes on how to write as epicly and funny as you do. Great job!๐ฏ๐ฅ
