This study analyzes the performance of a Software Defined Network (SDN) utilizing the Intent Monitor and Reroute (IMR) method on the Open Network Operating System (ONOS) controller. The IMR method enhances traffic management by optimizing bandwidth usage and ensuring consistent quality of service (QoS), as validated by tests across different network topologies with various switch configurations. Results indicated that the IMR method effectively maximizes link usage and minimizes data congestion while maintaining acceptable QoS standards.
