Bruce started in the business of IoT in 2008 as CEO of a venture-backed IPv6 company that developed a networking platform for Service Providers to build smart home apps. He started his career as a mathematician and then became a programmer who quickly found his way to business through marketing. He worked his way through product marketing and brand management to be VP of Marketing for a 300-person subsidiary of Microsoft.
