Postman API Monitoring Examples

API monitoring is the practice of monitoring Application Program Interfaces—collecting and analyzing operational data for API availability, performance, functionality, and security, generating actionable insights, and remediating issues.

This is a central place for the Postman user community to learn about API monitoring with examples using Postman Monitors. It's also a place to collaborate on the development of collections and requests used to monitor uptime, response time, mutiple-step transactions, and security, and to validate response schemas of HTTP APIs.

In this workspace, you can:

  • View the collections to see example use cases for Postman monitors and use them to create your own collection-based monitors. The documentation for each collection can help you understand the use cases.
  • Fork a collection into your own workspace and create a monitor based on the forked collection.
  • Follow the guidance in the CONTRIBUTIONS collection to offer your own monitoring examples.
