Our Tampa Shop recently wrapped up a powertrain rebuild on this 980, giving it a fresh start and plenty of life ahead. 🔧🛠️ The team reconditioned the engine, transmission, torque converter, cooling package, emissions group, axles, finals, hydraulic pumps and valves; refreshed the cab and A/C; replaced hoses and the wiring harness; repaired body and hood panels; installed a new grease system; and finished it off with a full sandblast and repaint. It’s a great example of why Cat® machines are built to be rebuilt. Thanks to the generosity of our employees, all 30 children we sponsored will enjoy a brighter Christmas filled with clothing, essentials, and special wish-list surprises. Last Friday, our St. Augustine team came together with 60 volunteers to pack 15,136 meals for children and families in need across Northeast Florida. Over just two hours, we turned our cafeteria into a food-packing assembly line to support Hunger Fight, helping ensure kids have access to nutrition on weekends and holidays. We’re proud to see the tangible impact our team can make in the community—and to support an organization working to fight hunger where it’s needed most.

We’re excited to showcase another impressive rebuild — this time completed by our St. Augustine team for Franklin County Solid Waste! This 2016 Cat® 826K Landfill Compactor came in for a full powertrain-plus-hydraulics rebuild, and our technicians delivered a complete transformation, including: • Full powertrain overhaul — engine, transmission, axles, and torque converter • Valve blocks removed and rebuilt in-house by our Major Rebuild Component Center • All-new electrical components • Refurbished cab with all new A/C components • Cooling pack disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt • Hydraulic pumps rebuilt by our Tampa branch • Fuel and hydraulic tanks torn down, cleaned, and reassembled • Both frames split, sandblasted, repainted, and fitted with new center hitch bearings • All hydraulic hoses replaced throughout the entire machine Cat® machines are truly “Built to be Rebuilt.” Whether it’s a full machine overhaul or a component-level refresh, our rebuild programs help customers restore like-new performance at a fraction of the cost of new.
