Mr. Sanjeev Tirath, Batch of 1983 (BE, Electrical & Electronics), visited the Pilani Campus on 26 November 2025 to receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award 2024 in Corporate Leadership. Congratulations to Mr. Tirath on this well-deserved honour. He received the award in the presence of Prof. V Ramgopal Rao (Group Vice-Chancellor), Prof. Sudhirkumar V Barai (Director, Pilani Campus), Registrar Col. Soumyabrata Chakraborty, Prof. Arya Kumar (Dean, Alumni Relations), Prof. N. V. M. Rao (Dean, Administration), Mr. Sachin Arya (Head, Alumni Relations) and others. He reflected on his early years, sharing how #BITS helped him discover computer science. “BITS is who made me what I am today… the diversity, the system, the flexibility,” he said, adding that his shift from EEE to Computer Science “would not have been possible at any other university.” He spoke about key career moments from being selected by #Wipro in 1983 to how receiving his #US green card expanded his opportunities and strengthened his #entrepreneurial drive. As the Founder and CEO of Pyramid Consulting, Inc., he has built a global #organisation rooted in consistency and growth, crediting both the #BITS culture and his wife’s support.
