AI is shaping our era – full of big challenges, but also incredible opportunities to connect and inspire people around the globe. That’s why it felt especially meaningful to gather leaders like Rep. Jay Obernolte, Deputy Malcolm Byrne, journalists, government staff, and industry peers at the Irish Ambassador’s Residence in DC to exchange bold ideas about building AI that sparks real-world action beyond the screen. Our celebration turned into a fireside chat with the Washington AI Network. Jeff Harrell and I joined Tammy Haddad to dig into how AI has supercharged the connection between content and people at Pinterest. We’re focused on using AI to deliver inspiration – not just the “right” content, but ideas that actually move people to create, try something new, or get out in the world. For us, it’s not about mindless scrolling; it’s about action and feeling seen. One of my favorite moments of the night: gifting Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason “The House That Pinterest Built” by the late Diane Keaton. Deep gratitude to the Ambassador for welcoming Pinterest and our guests so graciously, and for championing conversations that move both policy and inspiration forward.
