🚗💥 Got Whiplash? Neck pain after a crash is often more than simple soreness. Whiplash occurs when the head and neck are moved faster than the body can react. That force can irritate the tissues in the neck and, in some people, temporarily change how the body senses and responds to movement or pressure. Symptoms don’t always appear right away. It may take hours, or even a few days, before you begin to feel the effects. Common symptoms include: • Neck pain or stiffness, often worsening when you turn your head • Headaches that start at the base of your skull and move upward • Tightness through the shoulders and upper back • Dizziness or a general sense of feeling “off” • Discomfort that makes daily activities more difficult Our #PhysicalTherapists use thoughtful, evidence-guided approaches to help restore comfortable movement, reduce irritation, and support a steady recovery. We also guide you on pacing, posture, and safe daily activity as your symptoms improve. If you’re dealing with symptoms after a crash, a physical therapist can assess what you’re experiencing and help you determine the best next step. #Whiplash #NeckPain #PhysicalTherapy #H2Health *** This information is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for medical advice ***

Winter’s coming! So are winter sports. Before your kids hit the slopes, rinks, or courts, make sure their bodies are ready to move safely. PT Tip to keep your kiddos in the game: Add 5–10 minutes of dynamic warmups before activity. It is the simplest way to protect growing muscles and joints. What are some dynamic warmups? Try these 8: 1) High Knees – Light jog lifting knees to waist height to raise heart rate and body temperature. 2) Arm Circles – Small to large circles forward and backward to loosen shoulders. 3) Leg Swings – Forward/backward and side-to-side to open hips and hamstrings. 4) Walking Lunges – Step forward into a lunge, and alternate sides. 5) Modified Inchworms – From standing, hinge at hips, walk hands out to a plank, then back up. 6) Hip Circles – Hands on hips, rotate in both directions to warm up lower back and core. 7) Side Shuffles – Quick lateral steps to engage hip stabilizers and leg muscles used in sports movement. 8) Ankle Hops or heel-to-toe rocks – Small pogo hops in place or slow rocks from heel to toe to prep calves and ankles. *Add sport-specific moves for 30–60 seconds. #PTtips #WinterSports #PhysicalTherapy #InjuryPrevention #H2Health *** This information is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for medical advice ***

Long hours seated reduce movement tolerance in the hips and spine, even without pain. These changes improve with consistent mobility work. If stiffness is affecting your day, our clinicians can help you restore comfortable, efficient movement. #H2Health #PhysicalTherapy #MoveBetter #MobilityMatters #SpineHealth #HipMobility

Don’t leave your health benefits unused as the year wraps up. If you have HSA funds available, have already met your deductible, or qualify for reduced visit costs, December is often the most cost-effective time to start or continue physical therapy. If pain, mobility changes, or a lingering injury has been on your mind, this is a good window to take action before benefits reset in January. Schedule your appointment today. ➡ https://lnkd.in/ez2jgU6A

Every movement is progress. In physical therapy, improvement often comes from simple, well-directed motions that help your body relearn how to move with less strain and more control. A small step, a gentle range-of-motion exercise, or a focused rep can change how a joint loads, how a muscle engages, or how a movement pattern organizes itself. Progress builds quietly, one choice at a time. Keep moving. Keep showing up. #H2Health #PhysicalTherapy #MovementIsProgress #RehabJourney #FunctionalMovement #MoveBetter #SmallStepsBigResults
