    It’s hard to believe, but we’re in the final sprint of 2025. Which means we’re looking ahead—and forward—to the event that jumpstarts January and sets the tone for biopharma and healthcare: the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference. For a few winter days—January 12-15, 2026—San Francisco transforms into a bustling ecosystem of investors, executives, entrepreneurs, journalists, and analysts eager to connect and catalyze partnerships, announcements, and headlines.   While many envision JPM week as a place to make a splash with an announcement, it’s like jumping into a pool alongside a crowd of cannonballers. How best, then, to stand out and share all the science and sparkle your company has planned for 2026?   Recognize the noise. Inboxes are flooded; everyone is talking. Recognize that journalists are overloaded and tailor your message for quick consumption.   Be strategic with timing. Decide whether to get ahead of the rush or leverage the week’s momentum. Evaluate the merits of announcements in mid-late December, early January (recognizing the week prior to JPM is busy with headlines), and even post-JPM when the noise level decreases.   Keep it clear, focused, and timely. Avoid jargon and get to the point. What’s new, why does it matter and, specifically, why does it matter today?   Tap trends. Tie your message to the bigger picture and conversations shaping healthcare and investment that week. Relevance resonates.   The same rules apply if you’re hoping to connect with a journalist for a briefing. Understand their time is in high demand, and they’ll generally be most interested in companies with catalysts expected in 2026.
