Cresset’s 2026 outlook anticipates fiscal stimulus early in the year and easier Fed policy by midyear. Despite typical midterm-year volatility, we expect diversified allocations across equities, fixed income, and alternatives to help manage risk while capturing the benefits of coordinated policy support. Equity performance should broaden as lower financing costs aid smaller and undervalued sectors. Intermediate-term fixed income and private credit may also be well positioned. The key takeaways: • Dovish monetary policy, including potential accelerated cuts, appears likely regardless of Fed leadership • The Fed must provide compelling economic justification for policy moves to assure markets of its independence • Projected fiscal stimulus in Q1 and easier monetary policy in Q2 establish a favorable backdrop for equities over the subsequent 12 months. Cresset reposted this
My father was known as the “King of Christmas.” For more than five decades, he brought joy to children across America with elaborate holiday displays, beloved characters, and his own unmistakable twinkle in his eye. He built a magical business from scratch, blending creativity with grit. He was, in every way, a founder. But, like many entrepreneurs, he had no plan for what would come next - no financial plan, estate plan, or clear succession path. As a result, his later years were far more difficult than they should have been. His story is not uncommon. Too often, founders pour themselves entirely into building their business, but do not invest the time in personal planning and succession, or exit. They underestimate the emotional and structural toll of a lack of planning, and overestimate that it will just work out over time. This season, as I reflect on his legacy, both the wonder he created and the difficulties he endured, I am reminded that succession is not just a financial decision. It is an important responsibility, a way of honoring those we lead, caring for teams and customers, and shaping your legacy. Last holiday season, I shared more about my dad’s journey and the lessons it left with me - about legacy, stewardship, and preparing for what comes next. I invite you to read it: https://lnkd.in/enkNaSKD If our team at Cresset can be helpful to you or your family in that work, we would be honored to support you. https://lnkd.in/eVUSnGCJ
