An EIP is integrated with the Internet traffic analysis feature of Network Intelligence Service (NIS). This feature lets you view the volume and ranking of inbound and outbound EIP traffic in 2-tuples and 5-tuples. You can use the traffic data or metrics to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Prerequisites
An EIP instance has been created and the EIP has been attached to a cloud resource. For more information, see Request an EIP and Attach a cloud resource.
Procedure
- Log on to the Elastic IP Address console .
In the top navigation bar, select the region where the EIP is created.
On the Elastic IP Addresses page, find the EIP that you want to manage and click the EIP instance ID.
On the instance details page, click the
tab.If you have not enabled Internet traffic analysis in the selected region, follow the on-screen instructions and click OK.
On the Traffic Activation Management page, find the destination region. In the Switch column, select Activate By Region or Activate By IP, and then click Update Status Of Network Monitoring. You can then view the Internet traffic for the regions or IP addresses for which this feature is enabled.
If you select Activate By IP, you can select an EIP.
If you no longer need to view the Internet traffic for a region, you can click Deactivate in the Switch column to disable the traffic analysis feature for that region.
