DataWorks:View deployment packages

Last Updated:Jun 05, 2025

The Deployment Packages page displays all basic information about created deployment packages, including names, types, times, and statuses. You can quickly track deployment progress through status indicators, view detailed information such as environment configurations and deployment objects as needed, and perform operations such as deletion or rollback. This topic describes the operations that you can perform on the Deployment Packages page.

Prerequisites

A deployment package is created and deployed. For more information, see Deploy objects within the same workspace, Create a deployment package to deploy the objects across workspaces, and Create a deployment package to deploy the objects across clouds.

Go to the Deployment Packages page

  1. Go to the Deploy Center page.

    1. Log on to the DataWorks console. In the top navigation bar, select the desired region. In the left-side navigation pane, choose More > Management Center. On the page that appears, select the desired workspace from the drop-down list and click Go to Management Center.

    2. In the top navigation bar, click the image icon and choose All Products > More > Deploy Center.

  2. Go to the Deployment Packages page.

In the Deploy Center page, click Deployment Packages in the left navigation bar to go to the Deployment Packages page.

Filter deployment packages

image

In this area, you can filter deployment packages based on specific conditions, such as Deployed By, Applicant, Deployment Status, Deployment Environment, and Deployment Package Name/ID.

Parameter

Description

Applicant

The user who creates the deployment package.

Deployed By

The user who deploys the deployment package.

Deployment Status

  • Preparing: The deployment package is created and is being generated.

  • Pending Deployment: The deployment package is generated and is waiting to be deployed.

  • Deploying: The deployment package is being deployed.

  • Successful: The deployment package is deployed. The status of a deployment package is Successful only if all objects in the deployment package are successfully deployed.

  • Failed: The deployment package fails to be deployed. The status of a deployment package is Failed if one or more objects in the deployment package fail to be deployed. You can click the image icon to check the cause of the failure.

  • Canceled: The deployment of the package is canceled.

  • Importing: The deployment package is being imported to the destination workspace.

    Note

A deployment package can be in the Importing state only in cross-cloud deployment scenarios.

  • Rolling Back: The deployment package is being rolled back to the previous version.

  • Rolled Back: The deployment package is rolled back to the previous version.

  • Rollback Failed: The deployment package fails to be rolled back to the previous version.

View information about a deployment package

On the Deployment Packages page, you can view the basic information about all created deployment packages and perform operations on a deployment package, such as deploying, deleting, and rolling back the deployment package, based on your business requirements.

The available Operations vary depending on the deployment scenario:

Deploy objects within the same workspace

image

After you create a deployment package, you can see the generated deployment package in the Deployment Packages list. You can:

  • View: View the configurations of the deployment environment and the details of the objects that you want to deploy.

  • Deploy: Users with the Workspace Administrator, O&M, or Deploy role can deploy a deployment package that is in the Pending Deployment state from the Deployment Packages list.

After deployment, you can View the deployment status of all objects in the deployment package. If a deployment package is in the Failed status, you can find the objects that failed to be deployed based on the details of the deployment package and troubleshoot the issue.

Deploy objects across workspaces

After you create a deployment package, you can see the generated deployment package in the Deployment Packages list. You can:

  • View: View the configurations of the deployment environment and the details of the objects that you want to deploy.

  • Deploy: Users with the O&M, Deploy, or Workspace Administrator role in both the source and destination workspaces can deploy a deployment package that is in the Pending Deployment state from the Deployment Packages list.

  • Delete: If you no longer need a deployment package, you can delete it.

    Note

After you delete a deployment package, it cannot be restored. Exercise caution when performing this operation.

After deployment, you can:

  • View: You can view the deployment status of all objects in the deployment package. If a deployment package is in the Failed status, you can find the objects that failed to be deployed based on the details of the deployment package and troubleshoot the issue.

  • Roll Back: You can roll back a deployment package to the previous version.

    Note

Deployment packages deployed through the Deploy Center in workspaces that use the new version of Data Development do not support rollback.

Deploy objects across clouds

  • Operations supported on the source side

    image

    • View: View the configurations of the deployment environment and the details of the objects that you want to deploy.

    • Download: After you deploy a deployment package in cross-cloud scenarios, download the deployment package to your on-premises machine and import the package to the destination workspace.

    • Update Status: In cross-cloud deployment scenarios, if you want to redeploy a deployment package but the status of the deployment package is not Successful or Failed, you must manually update the status of the deployment package to Successful or Failed. Otherwise, the deployment package cannot be redeployed.

    • Delete: If you no longer need a deployment package, you can delete it.

      Note

After you delete a deployment package, it cannot be restored. Exercise caution when performing this operation.

  • Operations supported on the destination side

    image

After you import a deployment package to the destination side, the package appears in the Deployment Packages list with Deployment Type set to Deploy In Current Workspace and Deployment Status set to Pending Deployment. You can:

    After deployment, you can:

    • View: You can view the deployment status of all objects in the deployment package. If a deployment package is in the Failed status, you can find the objects that failed to be deployed based on the details of the deployment package and troubleshoot the issue.

    • Roll Back: You can roll back a deployment package to the previous version.
