Taj Bar is a very excentric and quite unique place to be. It is one of the must go places of Curitiba. All decorative and well designed. And the music from Dj Juliana Lopes is one of the best. I truly recommend this place.

Great place! Huge thanks to our waiter Fabio for going above and beyond. We dined with our one-year-old, and though he was initially startled and cried, Fabio quickly provided two toys that kept him entertained while we settled in. We requested fish, rice, and broccoli (even though broccoli wasn’t on the menu), and after a brief check with the kitchen, he brought us perfectly steamed broccoli that our son loved. Fabio also made sure my non-Portuguese-speaking parents felt welcomed and well cared for.

I was really hoping to give this place a full 5 stars, and it came close! Overall, it’s a solid 4-star experience for a couple of reasons: About 25% of the meat served was quite tough, which took away from the otherwise excellent quality. Also, there was a bit of a wait—around 10 minutes—before the meat service began. Once it started, though, it didn’t stop, and everything came out steadily. The food was delicious (I focused only on the meats, not the sushi or salads), and the variety was satisfying. It would be even better if a dessert or at least a bottle of water were included in the price to round out the experience. I’d consider coming back, but I’d probably try out a few other meat buffet spots in Curitiba first before making a final verdict.

I wish I could give this 6 out of 5 stars. Absolutely outstanding experience at Batel Grill. If you are a fan of bbq meat, this is the best place in Curitiba, hands down. They have a massive selection of delicious fresh salad and accompaniments and the table service is impeccable. Various cuts of meat cooked to perfection and all brought to the table with a smile. The three stars is for the squid that came not cleaned of the outer membrane. I always choke on it so when a place charge a lot I expect them to do such a basic thing. I wouldn’t dare to say anything if it was freshly caught and cooked in some fishing village on the shore of Portugal where things are understandably more basic but this place is very much position itself as high end, so it has to live up to it. Everything else was fine. The most delicious things were sashimi ( not the one with garlic powder on it though) and a non-alcoholic lemonade.

One of my favourites in Curitiba. What ever you choose it will not disappoint. Service from Hugo was excellent - make sure to tip in cash.

The drinks were mostly ice, with only a couple of ounces of liquid. The food was minimalist bits and pieces, creative and tasty but insubstantial. I also found the menu difficult to interpret, with the various raw fish dishes divided up into sections that didn't seem to make much sense. After eating a variety of entrees we were full but felt like we hadn't had dinner. I'm sick of these Michelin-style joints, and prefer a place where you get an actual meal.

The food, drinks, and service were outstanding. However, the proximity of our table to the air conditioning unit detracted slightly from the overall comfort of our dining experience. I recommend the octopus. Can't give 5* due to air conditioning.

The rice was not spicy enough though, but the lack of chilly is quite common for Brasil. Prices rather high and portions a bit small. It's better to arrive early, once it gets packed the food can take a very long time. I wish they had the omakase, many items on the menu were no longer available. Only complaints: Wifi didn't work, it seemed like they seared with a blowtorch which gave a slightly gassy flavor to some of the nigiri.

This is a review for the yakiniku restaurant, not for the adjacent “general Japanese restaurant” from the same economic group. Like its sister restaurant in Cabral neighborhood, it has a good choice of meat and an “average” buffet (that in my opinion is more than fine as the protagonists here are not the sushi/yakisoba/fried rice/etc).. I can’t avoid make a comparison with their sister affiliate from Cabral neighborhood, that in my opinion has a much better (and nice) service although it doesn’t mean that the Água Verde one is bad at all. My only advice is that if you go with a group of 5 or 6, ask for 2 adjacent tables so that you will be much more comfortable than if you pack your group all together (unless you really want to be together, what is doable).

This review is based off of two visits. I went back a second time almost exclusively to try a beer they were out of on my first visit. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is great. You can see a lot of effort was put into making it feel authentic and having you think you’re at that style of restaurant in Japan. There is a mix of seating at the bar, at tables inside and tables just outside of the main entrance to the restaurant. Both times I sat at the bar since I went solo. The servers were all great. I was pleased with that component too. I was, however, disappointed with the pricing. If you come here and get one item and one drink it won’t be too bad. If you come here and try a couple of items, it will add up quickly. I paid around $245 both times I went. The karaage was different for me because I’m not used to it being battered. This one was and the batter puffed up a lot. Made it a bit challenging to eat it with chopsticks. The gyozas were ok, but by the time it got to me they weren’t as hot as I would expected. They were not cold or room temperature, just not as hot as I would’ve expected. The chicken Katsu was probably my favorite dish as it’s not particularly expensive, but they don’t give you much of the sweet red sauce on the plate. I’m probably most disappointed by the miso ramen. The broth was fine and it was served as hot as I would prefer it to be, but compared to the size of the bowl there wasn’t a lot of noodles in it. The pork that was in the ramen was mostly fat and not the meat portion you’d expect. I couldn’t finish it in part because I was getting full from the appetizers and beverages, but also I had ran out of noodles and actual meat in the ramen. I’ve only been twice and haven’t tried the entire menu. Should I go back there’s a more than fair chance I’ll just stick with the chicken katsu w/ extra sauce and a beverage. Again, the staff were great. Very cool decorations, but the pricing and some of the food I was disappointed by in some regard. Some stuff wasn’t served hot enough, some was. Some stuff didn’t have enough sauce, some didn’t have enough meat or noodle. Some items were just right. I gave them my feedback, including my positive notes, after I ate both times. So everything I said here now I said then first. Also, if you come here via Uber or some other app, make sure you select the right location. I guess this restaurant changed locations at some point and Uber still has the old one on there and it hasn’t been removed yet. I didn’t know and the second time I went I was taken to a different Japanese restaurant near a German one before realizing what happened. The first time I went I walked so I didn’t have that issue.

Very relaxed, friendly, caring and polite staff. Place is clean, disinfectant available at many places, ambiance is set up with different landmarks of Asian countries. The place is also spacious so that each customer doesn't feel overwhelmed and can eat at peace. Finally, the food is just amazing, tasty amd fresh. Overall.... really great place.

I've been going there with my familt for years. Always very clean, no smells, good climatization, food always good, great variety, including asian food and also an awesome barbecue section.

Very good food, nice Buffet. No problems whatsoever. My family have been attending to this restaurant for more than 5 years now. Never had a problem with them. Free WiFi. Recent expansion:. They have just doubled their capacity. Oh and nice decoration too. I'm really a big fan of this place.

Nice restaurant with a great variety of food. The price was good before, but they increased it lately. It doesn't have a place to park but in front of it you can park at the supermarket, paid.

Excellent food and great atmosphere. It's not easy to find parking but that is to be expected in that neighbourhood.
