Final Cut Pro 11 is such a nice pro app experience. You just download the app and run it.Meanwhile, Adobe users get a huge bloated ‘Apple Creative Cloud’ app full of nagging notifications and crappy AI ads, bizarre files on disk, uninstallers and other random executables, weird ‘genuine service’ malware eating resources, etcThis is what happens when a company has no meaningful competition.

With the lack of control of a sticky Following feed that I have control over, I'm noticing the early novelty effect of liking Threads and seeing it as valuable is gone. I'd say my signal to noise ratio in my feed is 10-20/80-90.Too much lizard brain, way too much noise in my feed even after curating it for weeks, way too much precious brain time used.I hope this changes someday, but historical Meta decisions make me believe this won't happen.

The way Meta has stubbornly held onto For You as the default feed, tuned the algorithm for useless engagement, and introduced this garbage in the notifications feed should give us a good sense of how bad Threads will be when they turn on the advertising spigot.
