Good Morning,

I have a zabbix server that receives data from zabbix proxies which collect server's and some devices data.

And along with that I have configured on the Alerts--> Actions --> trigger actions part (which you can see on the screenshot):

And which is configured in order to send email to an specific address everytime something bad happens like the disk getting low on free space, the server being rebooted:

The problem is that everyday from 10 to 11 am, once the email notification becomes sent I get the following error:

Failed sending data to the peer: MAIL failed: 550

What might be the problem? Is there something wrong with the configuration of the email notifications? I have 13 trigger actions with the same configuration.

    550 means the server rejected the message. Check the logs of the server for more information as to why the server rejected the message. There's nothing more we can tell from this error message. Commented Jan 10 at 10:08
  • Thank you very much for your answer, could you tell me the name of the files which do I need to check? Because I see that on the /var/log directory there are a lot of files and directories and I do not know the name of the one regarding the smtp or mail protocol. Commented Jan 10 at 11:37
