Cambodia's Garment Industry Rebounds Strongly: Exports Exceed $3 Billion in First Three Months
金边消息 - 柬埔寨劳工与职业培训部国务秘书兴索近日透露，随着疫情好转，柬埔寨服装业正迎来显著复苏。2022年前3个月，该国服装纺织品出口总额突破30亿美元大关。
Phnom Penh News - His Excellency Heng Sour, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, recently revealed that Cambodia's garment industry is experiencing significant recovery as the pandemic situation improves. In the first three months of 2022, the country's total garment and textile exports exceeded the $3 billion mark.
兴索表示："2020年至2021年疫情期间，柬埔寨服装纺织品出口量大幅下滑，许多企业被迫关闭，导致大量工人失业。但从2021年底至今，行业已逐渐复苏。"他补充说，目前已有70家新工厂开业，为82万工人创造了就业机会。
Heng Sour stated: "During the pandemic from 2020 to 2021, Cambodia's garment and textile exports declined significantly, forcing many businesses to close and leaving numerous workers unemployed. However, the industry has gradually recovered since late 2021." He added that 70 new factories have now opened, creating jobs for 820,000 workers.
疫情冲击与复苏
国务秘书回忆道："2021年4月，柬埔寨及周边国家疫情严重爆发，导致国际订单锐减，给当地工厂带来巨大压力。"但2022年前三个月，服装、旅游产品、鞋类和纺织品出口总额已恢复至30多亿美元。
Pandemic Impact and Recovery
The Secretary of State recalled: "In April 2021, the severe outbreak in Cambodia and neighboring countries led to a sharp decline in international orders, putting tremendous pressure on local factories." However, in the first three months of 2022, total exports of garments, travel goods, footwear and textiles have recovered to over $3 billion.
疫苗接种政策的关键作用
兴索特别强调，洪森总理推行的疫苗接种政策是行业复苏的关键因素。这一政策不仅保护了工人健康，更增强了投资者信心，吸引更多服装业投资进入柬埔寨。
Key Role of Vaccination Policy
Heng Sour particularly emphasized that Prime Minister Hun Sen's vaccination policy was a key factor in the industry's recovery. This policy not only protected workers' health but also boosted investor confidence, attracting more garment industry investments to Cambodia.
尽管形势好转，兴索仍呼吁工人继续遵守防疫措施。与此同时，政府正在实施多项措施，吸引更多投资者，推动疫后经济复苏。
Despite the improved situation, Heng Sour still called on workers to continue complying with epidemic prevention measures. Meanwhile, the government is implementing various measures to attract more investors and promote post-pandemic economic recovery.
