I also got the same message...deleted account, and it looks like spam
Hello, I just got "system message" from "Paul Support(deleted)" that my account is blocked and I should follow some link to t.co domain - is it phishing?
A user called ANNA Support sent a phishing message claiming that my HaD account would be disabled unless I followed a link. Kick then off.
As I've said, non-Creators should not be given PM ability.
None of the images are loading on my private project (background photo, gallery, project logs), in the console they all have a 500 status code. Images on other peoples projects seem to be loading fine so not sure if this is limited to just private projects.
I seem to be getting more 500 Lost spaceman on entering the site recently. Sometimes the content without the formatting, looking like CSS file not found. Servers overwhelmed?
RH: Thanks for the prompt reply. I'm still getting the same error in both Firefox and Chrome (Windows) after clearing the cache and doing a SHIFT-RELOAD, also on an Android tablet and phone. The yellow box at the bottom LH of the messages page gets stuck on "CONNECTING"
"Uncaught SyntaxError: missing ) after argument list"
It should be cleared up now since Monday morning, give it another reload.
I'm a new user (though a lurker for many years), and just posted my first project. It immediately got an effusive fan mail from an obvious spammer, this guy: https://hackaday.io/AustinLin
How do we report such things? Huge waste of everyone's time.
Yes here or in the left column of any project or profile.
Hi, I'm getting this error in the personal message page:
OkhhCeSBz5ZL/BE4f7QZBTswUbzMyssop5H1caXZkXKImKPN7f/Cv0BjjjDWy+lHLlwzkG+AO+13Ufu/K5x47KlMR6xhx+AjXWd/fiD+qVQqplBtRTDtyuSvI/EvglVsEqDIxH9HoULXrof29w4Hiz2pO8gGE6FHz/Ob0mmT0MhYAehKMG7Un78mSciLsM/yB068VtJruWk8uc0Us6sG5X1qj81DxbfWYfjOvW6ngqsSNGeQxybf1MHtS4EazcITU9U8Emo4VCe2jIKzZLcGlw==-1.7.1.js:1
Uncaught SyntaxError: missing ) after argument list
The senders are showing, but the message frame hangs.
Otherwise, thanks for a great service.
I don't know if it's the same issue, but the message panel also hangs for me so none of the previous conversations can be viewed. It just shows a static arc of the activity spinning circle.
A few of use were talking in https://hackaday.io/messages/room/2369 try clearing site data (js/css/etc), and hitting that room again.
Hey can you all check again this morning, there was a deployment yesterday for some small fixes not related to messaging. Sometimes messaging takes a while to load for the first time after a redeploy.
Still seeing no activity on the message panel. Tried logging out and in, clearing cookies. No joy.
Firefox, both normal and incognito windows (which shouldn't have any site data), still frozen. Chrome, both normal and incognito windows, still frozen. Opera, normal window, works. Sounds like some JS issue.
New scammer user sent me a PM with the usual give us your bank details and we'll send you money, yeah sure. This is why non-creators should not be allowed to send PMs.
Featured Projects is getting pretty stale. Hasn’t changed in a long time.
Do you mean the projects in the RH column? I think they are picked from the ones with high views. So the same ones keep reappearing. And it's self-reinforcing.
The "People you may like" list also hardly ever changes.
Sorry to bother you, but newlines still do not show up in project descriptions. This affects every project on this site.
Hey we have a fix for this finishing deployment with some other stuff. It will go out soon and correct the newlines.
It looks like the project descriptions are finally fixed, thank you!
Yes we included in a small patch yesterday when we updated the home page graphic for Supercon this weekend.
Suddenly I have projects in my "Projects I like and follow" that I never clicked to follow. Visiting the project page shows that I followed but then unfollowing them doesn't change anything, they persist in my list.
Edit: No longer necessary. The issue appears to have resolved itself.
change the twitter field on user profiles to also allow x.com links. :)
We are holding out for when they change the name back to Twitter :)
dunk it in his tea mug silicone leads, lead solder and all and hook it up to the bench PSU five amps and couple of minutes later he said the tea tasted much better
He was right, He could make a cracking cuppa that bloke but this is a practice I do not reccommend or endorse
OK when will this be resolved I am very much a human being with input to share
I'm not sure whether this is abuse of component or abuse of self, probably both, but I had a colleague who would dunk a 20 watt 2R power resistor in his tea mug
I got a second message saying I needed to do identity verification after the first user was deleted. I've blocked both. Seems like whoever is phishing hasn't yet been deterred.
