Featured Projects is getting pretty stale. Hasn’t changed in a long time.
Sorry to bother you, but newlines still do not show up in project descriptions. This affects every project on this site.
Hey we have a fix for this finishing deployment with some other stuff. It will go out soon and correct the newlines.
Suddenly I have projects in my "Projects I like and follow" that I never clicked to follow. Visiting the project page shows that I followed but then unfollowing them doesn't change anything, they persist in my list.
Edit: No longer necessary. The issue appears to have resolved itself.
change the twitter field on user profiles to also allow x.com links. :)
dunk it in his tea mug silicone leads, lead solder and all and hook it up to the bench PSU five amps and couple of minutes later he said the tea tasted much better
He was right, He could make a cracking cuppa that bloke but this is a practice I do not reccommend or endorse
OK when will this be resolved I am very much a human being with input to share
I'm not sure whether this is abuse of component or abuse of self, probably both, but I had a colleague who would dunk a 20 watt 2R power resistor in his tea mug
I got a second message saying I needed to do identity verification after the first user was deleted. I've blocked both. Seems like whoever is phishing hasn't yet been deterred.

Hello, this is the hackaday website support service, your projects are temporarily not visible to other users. Due to the new US law, you need to pass verification to confirm your identity and continue making projects on our website! Otherwise, your account will be deleted and the registration data will be transferred to Interpol for further proceedings. Link for verification: https://hackaday.id-673790.live/212518089
This user has been deleted, we have a list of banned usernames, looks like 'support' was missed
Perhaps only users that have the maker badge should be allowed to send PMs.
apostrophe is not handled correctly in a hackaday.io project description. The word "i'm" is written as "I'm". Can this be fixed, please?
Also & is handled incorrectly. It's printed as "N& amp;"
The reason is that those characters are stored in HTML entitiy form but are not converted on display. Other affected characters include less than and greater than. It's an old site bug that many have pointed out for a long time. ☹️

Ok try posting on the Stack for sharing URLs or other general questions, https://hackaday.io/stack
From my pages too. Also, my profile avatar is gone...
unable to upload images. Tried JPG, PNG, different browsers. Only empty frames appear.
They will appear once the CDN issue is resolved, the empty frames are just not displaying the thumbnails of the uploaded image.
Images are missing from my Pages. The HTML code is there but when I try to view an image the CDN server returns a 503.
Sorry everybody its some CDN issue again, I'm elevating this internally so it can get taken care of hopefully permanently.
Many of my old project lost images completely :(

Somehow the formatting in the project descriptions has stopped working. See for example: https://hackaday.io/project/202928-diy-portrait-mode-gamepad
Hi, Richard, any update on this? It seems to affect all projects.
As a newly signed up .io user, it’s easy to get the impression that everything here is stale.
The home page defaults to ”my feed” which currently features the 2019 "Hackaday.io - Capture & Log Mobile App”.
The ”project you might like” features
Hackaday SuperConference 2015,
2017: A Year of Hacking, the 2016 EMF Camp, and so on.
I guess this is old news to everyone :)
This can happen if you only follow, https://hackaday.io/hackadayrobot , we are refreshing the onboarding experience to help people find more projects/profiles to follow initially based on interests. Not sure if you missed that screen or just didn't select anything.
We could probably show the global feed to new signups that aren't following enough to fill the "my feed," https://hackaday.io/feed
Message I just received from: https://hackaday.io/Clementkwok
My name is Clement Kwok, Independent Non-Executive Director. I am reaching out regarding a business proposal of mutual interest connected to Hang Seng Bank Hong Kong.

Yeah got one too from that scammer. Blocked and reported them.
Can I save a project somehow so i can return to it later? Either a download or a PDF of the project would be good. It's hard to find some of these projects later on.

New scammer user sent me a PM with the usual give us your bank details and we'll send you money, yeah sure. This is why non-creators should not be allowed to send PMs.
