| Great appendix - I think this will help a lot of people just starting out. I love the xkcd reference, perfect! For the VM section, have you considered pointing to some of the most common VM software like VMware or VirtualBox? |

| Thank you! Just added VirtualBox for their software virtualization support and GPLv3 license + cleaned up some of the explanations for the difference between remote servers and web tools |
