Ok, I was unsure about the removal of the gfortran commands, but clearly it's just the docs CI, so it is not needed here.

This PR focuses on fixing
ford's version (now it isford-6.1.10) for CI stability and usingubuntuto installford.Close #673.
(PS. Once we know that ford/issue/446 is fixed, we can update the
