As reported in the discussion forums, our OpenTelemetry API bridge doesn't bridge the TracerProvider.tracerBuilder method: Resulting tracer will create NoOp-Spans, which will not yield any reported spans.

TracerProvider.tracerBuilder ws added in Otel 1.4.0.
