- removed all net6.0 target frameworks - cleaned up conditional compilation blocks - simplified code by removing version checks - updated e2e tests to only use net8.0 functions fixes aws-powertools#749

Removes .NET 6 support as requested in #749
All unit tests pass (1,362 tests). E2E test failures are expected due to missing deployed functions.
Fixes #749
