It should be 'SELECT $1::mycomplex' here I think
It is now possible to `set_type_codec('mycomposite', ... format='tuple')`, which is useful for types that are represented by a composite type in Postgres, but are an integral type in Python, e.g. `complex`. Fixes: #1060
