Code of Conduct

All interactions with our community should follow our Code of Conduct.

Additional Rules

In addition to our Code of Conduct, our forum community has a few rules to follow:

  1. Discussions should be kept in the appropriate categories.
  2. Please refrain from self-promotion of your projects (GitHub, Personal Website, etc) or social media (e.g. YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter).
  3. Links to projects for the limited purpose of debugging are acceptable as long as the link is being shared to help you with a specific error in your code, not to drive traffic to the project, solicit contributors, or otherwise leverage our community for your project’s growth and engagement.
  4. Do not post links to products/services/websites unless they are responsive/relevant to the current discussion. If you have a financial relationship with the product, you must disclose that relationship. Affiliate links are not allowed.
  5. Please refrain from discussing drugs, alcohol, or other content that may not be appropriate for our users under the age of 18.
  6. Please do not bring drama from other communities here. We are here to help people on their development journey.
  7. Please do not send unsolicited DMs to fellow campers.
  8. Discussion of politics, religion, current events, or other controversial topics is prohibited. We are first and foremost a programming community, and we do not want heated discussions which detract from that goal.
  9. Members of this community volunteer their time to help each other. Please be respectful of that generosity, and do not needlessly ping members, spam your question in multiple topics, or demand faster responses.
  10. We do not offer DM support, voice support, or any other 1-on-1 mentorship/assistance.
  11. This is not a dating platform. Our community is not the place to flirt with members, “pick up chicks”, or otherwise make unwanted advances toward someone.
  12. Please do not share AI-generated content within this community.
  13. Do not simply hand someone the solution to their problem. In doing so, you deprive them of the learning process. Instead, consider guiding them to reach the solution on their own

Reporting Concerns

If you see someone acting in a way that is not in line with our Code of Conduct or core values, please flag the post by clicking on the flag icon at the bottom of that post.

You will be given an option to select a reason for flagging the post. If none of the options apply, select Something Else and explain your reasoning for reporting the post.

Flags go directly to our moderation team, who will review and handle the concern accordingly.

Note: Do not flag posts for questions or concerns that are not about a Code of Conduct violation (such as incorrect Guide post solutions). Instead, create a topic in our Contributors category with a link to the post in question.
