I just clicked one of your links, and sure enough it now shows a counter of 1:
The reason it didn't show a counter before is because nobody had clicked on it.
Note that the forum software does not count the clicks of the person who wrote the post. So if you were led to this conclusion by clicking the link and then noting that it did not result in a counter, then that was the expected result and does not indicate a problem with the forum software.
FYI
I clicked the second link yesterday and it still does not show.
But I clicked on it several times and refreshed the page after each time and I didn't show any clicks?
The forum software doesn't show a counter for links to URLs of pages on the forum, only for links to external URLs.
As I explained, this is expected:
But in the past it used to?
Not that I am aware of.
I am sorry but I have been posting links ever since I joined this forum and it did count the clicks.
Ahhhh. Thanks for that.
As have I, and it never counted my clicks. Maybe you observed this while you were not logged into your forum account? It also counts the click of "anonymous users" who are visiting the forum without being logged in.
If you believe this is a bug, you are welcome to report it to the developers of the Discourse forum software where the click counter is implemented:
It seems this is only true of links to post URLs. It does actually show a counter on links to topic URLs.
When I see a link that i want to view, I right click and then select 'Open link in new tab'.
I do this so that I don't get taken away from the page I am on.
These right clicks don't get counted at all.
