Cant install boards in Arduino IDE 2.0.3, no install button

I have installed my arduino IDE via winget

winget install -e --id ArduinoSA.IDE.stable

After that i went ahead and add earl's URL for the raspberry pi pico in the preference

https://github.com/earlephilhower/arduino-pico/releases/download/global/package_rp2040_index.json

But when i went to the board manager and search the board from earl, it showed up but no install button...

Other boards seem to have their install button. I have tried reinstalling, deleting all files based on this official uninstall guide. I even tried reinstalling using the installer from the downloads page, and its still the same

Help on a fix please?

Make the left pane wider till the button shows.

Apologies , i had totally forgot to set the category (im not even sure where it was placed it).I have been used to forums that forces me to choose a category before i can even start writing the thread.

But to be honest i would have not placed it to where it is now (Arduino IDE 2.0) i would have placed it in "Using Arduino > Installation & troubleshooting - For problems with Arduino IDE". I hope that the category selection gets updated something that would take the whole page so nuanced category would easily get noticed.

Oh that works ! Thank you.

Well that is kind of annoying :frowning: . The install button should not get overlaid with the descriptions. I dont know how that portion is made, but if it was me, each board would be 3 tiles on top of each other Title > Description> Install button. That would ensure that the most important sections don't get lost.

Do you know the github repo for the arduino IDE 2.0? id like to submit a feature improvement, if it not already in progress

So i tried shrinking, the pane smaller and the install button do get lost on others too

That would have been OK :+1:

Keep on dreaming :sob:

I'm reasonably sure that there is already an issue on github.

You can do a search Issues ยท arduino/arduino-ide ยท GitHub

Here it is:

oh what this post has been already added in "Additional Reports" that is quick

Hope you guys get to solve it soon and as always thank you for the hard work
