Hey!
You can’t get the device the user is on as it’s a breach of privacy. If you really want to know then why not just make a prompt that asks the user to specify their device?
Bro people have 5 second attention spans They ain’t doing allat
You have no other choice then. Roblox simply doesn’t provide this feature and will never do so. Plus, what are you even trying to implement?
I need it for something that will show the User their operating system and other information
I’d suggest skipping that feature entirely because yet again, you can use google and do as much research as you want, but there is no way you can get O.S information of a user.
You could apporximate a rough device by using the display resolution, but no other way exists.
quick question, how is the device the user is on a breach of privacy? Just curious
It’s just my view on why Roblox hasn’t added such a feature, but I think it’s a breach of privacy because a user’s OS or specific device data can lead to social issues. For example, if there were a social hangout game that publicly displayed a player’s device information, it could lead to cyberbullying and similar issues.
It’s just a rough take on why Roblox hasn’t added this. I’m not entirely sure.
