The Kendo UI for jQuery MaskedTextBox enables a controlled text input that is based on a specific format.
The current example displays a configuration of a MaskedTextBox component with a mask for a phone number.
This MaskedTextBox example is part of a unique collection of hundreds of jQuery demos, with which you can see all Kendo UI for jQuery components and their features in action. View the source code of the demos from the library or directly adapt, and edit them and their theme appearance in Kendo UI for jQuery Dojo or ThemeBuilder.
Functionality and Features
- Appearance—The MaskedTextBox allows you to set different styling options to customize its appearance.
 -  Labels—The label of the MaskedTextBox enables you to associate the 
labelHTML element with the component. - Validation—The MaskedTextBox comes with predefined mask rules and enables you to modify them.
 - Accessibility—The MaskedTextBox is accessible for screen readers, supports WAI-ARIA attributes, delivers keyboard shortcuts for faster navigation, and enables you to render content from right to left.
 - Floating label—You can also implement a label that will move above the input field of the MaskedTextBox when it is focused.
