We’re thrilled to be adding two of Australia’s Great Walks — Arkaba in South Australia’s Flinders Ranges and The Maria Island Walk in Tasmania, plus two incredible luxury lodges: Arkaba Homestead and Bamurru Plains in the Northern Territory to our portfolio. Formerly part of Experience Co's Wild Bush Luxury business, this acquisition offers nature-based adventures and immersive walks paired with exceptional stays. With this move, Intrepid also becomes Australia’s second-largest walking company, significantly expanding our low-impact, premium walking and accommodation products. 👉 Read the full press release in our Newsroom: https://lnkd.in/gwt5u5XK

What an incredible night for Intrepid Travel! At the Travel Weekly Women in Travel Awards in Australia, we were proud to be named Employer of the Year. This award is a reflection of the incredible people at Intrepid. We’ve worked together to build a culture where trust, support, and collaboration are key. It’s not about perfection, it’s about progress and showing up for each other every day. Huge congratulations to the fabulous Sara King, winner of Sustainable Champion of the Year, recognising her leadership in ESG and in advancing responsible business practices across the global travel industry. And to Yvette Thompson, named on the 💪Power List💪 for her continued contribution to shaping a stronger, more inclusive industry. Big shout-out to all the other winners and finalists, including Robyn Nixon, Erin Shanks, Shirlee Hermocilla, and Eden Cook. What an incredible group of people driving positive change in travel. Today we've been named one of Fast Company’s 2025 Brands That Matter. This award recognizes the impact of our annual #NotHotList, designed to spotlight lesser-known destinations and help direct curious and conscientious travellers to places where their presence can have a positive impact. It’s a huge honor to be recognized alongside brands like Nike, National Basketball Association (NBA), McDonald's, Netflix (and many more) that are “staking their spot” at the intersection of business and culture. A heartfelt thank you to our travellers, partners, and people for helping us lead with purpose every day. #BrandsThatMatter

We’re proud to renew our partnership with Eurail for the fourth consecutive year, reinforcing our shared commitment to tackling social and environmental challenges across Europe. Since 2023, Eurail has donated more than €370,000 to Intrepid Foundation partners, helping us amplify our impact and welcome nine new partners across the region. Together, we’re supporting communities across Europe, funding projects that make a real difference every day, from sustainable agriculture in Italy to refugee support in Greece and inclusive employment initiatives in Croatia. Collective action and shared purpose drive meaningful change, and we’re grateful to have partners who share that vision. Here’s to another year of making a difference, together. 🌍✨ https://lnkd.in/eD9rP7Ky

⏰ ⏰ ⏰ ⏰SET YOUR ALARM! ⏰ ⏰ ⏰ ⏰ This weekend is an important moment for our team at Intrepid Travel. On Sunday night, our brand new TVC goes to air on Australian television for the first time. The idea is simple. Travel changes us — and what makes an Intrepid trip different is how we help travellers go deeper. Small groups, led by local leaders who live and breathe their culture, and create the kind of connection that stays with you long after the journey ends. We filmed across Kenya, Morocco and Croatia to capture the real, the rare, and the remarkable moments that make an Intrepid trip feel authentic and memorable. I’m proud of the many people across the business who worked to bring this to life and a huge shout out goes to Natalie Placko, our Global Director of Brand, who led this project and our brand vision. For us, this is a chance to connect with travellers we haven’t met yet. They say travel changes you. We say who you travel with changes everything. Keep an eye out on Channel 7 from Sunday night 💖 or take a sneak peek here. https://lnkd.in/gQ-mjErT

As a supporter of the We Mean Business Coalition and Better Futures Australia, we've added our name to the joint letter that urges governments to commit to a roadmap on the transition away from fossil fuels at COP30. Are you ready to adventure outside the ordinary? Today we’re announcing that REI and Intrepid Travel have joined forces to offer small group active trips to destinations around the globe. REI is one of the most iconic outdoor brands in America with hundreds of stores and 25 million members. These trips are designed with REI members at the core – full of immersive experiences that go beneath the surface. Each adventure — from alpine hikes to wildlife encounters — is guided by Intrepid’s local experts. The trust that REI has placed in Intrepid to operate their global adventures is something we’re incredibly proud of. In another marker of our shared purpose, 1% of the sales proceeds will go to the REI Cooperative Action Fund, supporting nonprofits that make the outdoors more accessible and inclusive. Check out my conversation with REI’s Susan V. on what this means for purpose-led travel in the US and around the world or read more here: https://lnkd.in/ggBSvBRZ

Last year Intrepid Travel launched a trailblazing new trip to Saudi Arabia – a Women’s Expedition. It quickly became one of our top performing trips in the range – proof that people were keen to explore the country in an authentic and meaningful way. Now we’re excited to expand our Saudi offering with two brand new itineraries. These trips visit Saudi Arabia’s highlights and the lesser-known Asir region of the South. Travellers will sit down to home-cooked meals with locals, learn about the Flower Men of the Qahtani tribe and visit UNESCO World Heritage listed villages. We’re proud to continue working with our local partner Sara Omar, an entrepreneur, passionate traveller and mother of two, who is dedicated to supporting women-owned businesses and sharing Saudi’s rich diversity with travellers. Both trips continue to strongly feature fantastic women-owned businesses and female-led experiences. Having travelled to Saudi myself, I’ve no doubt these trips will surprise and inspire our travellers, creating real connections with local communities. Congratulations to Erica Kritikides Jenny Gray and the team for bringing these trips to life! https://lnkd.in/e3rcv7uT

Thanks to our generous global community, we've awarded more than AUD $700,000 to 16 local not-for-profit partners - our largest grant distribution through The Intrepid Foundation's 2025 Impact Grant program. Now in its third year, this program unlocks additional funding for innovative projects that protect wildlife, conserve nature, promote equality and strengthen communities. This milestone is made possible thanks to our travellers, who choose to donate 1% of their trip cost. It’s a powerful reminder that when we come together, even small contributions can create meaningful, lasting impact. Explore all the 2025 Impact Grant projects: https://lnkd.in/dJSH-NUY
