Change of the undocumented manuallyAttachDevice function to allow detaching a device. Change does not impact normal usage of library.

| I know this PR is old, sorry it's taken me so long to get to these. This would be better implemented as manuallyDetachDevice I think? Even though the function is undocumented, we do still want to keep it so it does what it says on the tin. |
