Xinhua News Agency, Istanbul, April 2nd - The China Foreign Trade Centre and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce jointly held a promotion event for the China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) on April 2nd. Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Vice President Topcu emphasized: "The Belt and Road Initiative has profound impacts on the global economy and can create significant development opportunities for both countries." He noted the enormous potential in China-Turkey economic cooperation, stating that both sides should expand mutual investments while China could create more favorable conditions for Turkish exports. The first China International Import Expo will serve as an important platform, and the Turkish business community will actively participate to seize China's development opportunities.
