Foreign trade and e-commerce are different. The main differences are as follows:
1. Nature: E-commerce is a business activity centered on commodity exchange using information and network technology. Foreign trade is cross-border trade and service transactions.
2. Development direction: E-commerce is a direct product of the explosive development of the Internet and a new development direction of network technology applications. Foreign trade is not.
3. Manifestation form: Foreign trade is the main form of interaction among countries (or regions) based on the international division of labor, reflecting the economic interdependence among countries (or regions) worldwide. It is composed of the sum of foreign trade of various countries (or regions). E-commerce is usually a global wide range of commercial trade activities, in the open network environment of the Internet, based on client/server application mode.
