Historical Coordinates of Hainan Tea
海南茶产业的历史可追溯至宋代，明清时期海南芽茶曾是朝廷贡品。20世纪50年代，海南建立起红茶出口基地，"远洋牌"CTC红碎茶曾远销18个国家和地区，创汇7000多万元。
The history of Hainan's tea industry can be traced back to the Song Dynasty. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Hainan bud tea was a tribute to the imperial court. In the 1950s, Hainan established black tea export bases. The "Ocean" brand CTC black tea was once exported to 18 countries and regions, earning over 70 million yuan in foreign exchange.

Current Development Bottlenecks
截至2022年，海南茶叶种植面积仅3.5万亩，产量800吨，产值2亿元，产量和产值均为全国最小。面临产业规模小、茶园管理水平待提升、从业人员素质有限等挑战。
As of 2022, Hainan's tea planting area was only 35,000 mu, with an output of 800 tons and an output value of 200 million yuan, the smallest in the country. It faces challenges such as small industrial scale, need for improved garden management, and limited quality of practitioners.

中国农业科学院茶叶研究所研究员陈亮建议："挖掘保护海南本土古茶树资源，培育优良种源是突破同质化的重要举措。"
Chen Liang, researcher at the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, suggested: "Exploring and protecting Hainan's ancient tea tree resources and cultivating excellent seed sources are important measures to break through homogenization."

中国工程院院士刘仲华指出："海南在发展茶叶仓储、进出口贸易、茶文化旅游等方面前景广阔。"专家建议建设"国际茶文化沉浸旅游区"和"国际茶叶自由贸易港"。
Academician Liu Zhonghua of the Chinese Academy of Engineering pointed out: "Hainan has broad prospects in developing tea storage, import and export trade, and tea cultural tourism." Experts suggest building an "International Tea Culture Immersion Tourism Zone" and an "International Tea Free Trade Port".

中国茶叶流通协会会长王庆认为："三亚可依托旅游优势，在培育新型茶饮消费、升级消费平台等方面发挥重要作用。"
Wang Qing, president of China Tea Marketing Association, believes: "Sanya can leverage its tourism advantages to play an important role in cultivating new tea beverage consumption and upgrading consumption platforms."
未来发展方向
Future Development Direction
专家建议三亚每年举办全国少数民族茶道茶艺大赛，打造永久性会址，实现文旅双赢。通过"茶+贸易""茶+文化""茶+旅游"的融合发展模式，海南有望在我国茶业版图上发出炫目光彩。
Experts suggest that Sanya hold the National Ethnic Tea Ceremony Competition annually to create a permanent venue and achieve a win-win situation for culture and tourism. Through the integrated development model of "tea+trade", "tea+culture", and "tea+tourism", Hainan is expected to shine brightly on China's tea industry map.
