July, Yiwu China - While the northern hemisphere experiences summer heat, Christmas product factories in Yiwu, Zhejiang are working at full capacity to produce winter holiday goods for global customers. This city known as the "World Capital of Small Commodities" is entering its busiest Christmas product export season.
义乌国际商贸城圣诞用品专区汇集了近500家商户，全球80%的圣诞装饰品从这里发往世界各地。据商户介绍，每年3-11月是生产出口旺季，6-7月完成生产后，商品通过海运、空运和"义新欧"中欧班列等多种方式运输，其中铁路运输最快15天可达欧洲。
The Christmas products section of Yiwu International Trade City gathers nearly 500 merchants, with 80% of global Christmas decorations shipped from here to worldwide. According to merchants, the production and export season runs from March to November each year. After completing production in June-July, goods are transported by sea, air and the "Yixin'ou" China-Europe Railway Express, with rail delivery reaching Europe in as fast as 15 days.
义乌圣诞用品产业具有完整产业链，市场占有率超过70%，主要出口欧洲、美国、日本等国家和地区。目前大多数国际采购商通过视频会议和直播等数字化方式进行采购。
Yiwu's Christmas products industry has a complete supply chain, holding over 70% market share, mainly exporting to Europe, the U.S., Japan and other countries and regions. Currently most international buyers make purchases through digital methods like video conferences and live streaming.
"创业之城"吸引全球青年
在近期举办的"义路同行——全球青年创业培训计划"中，来自韩国的青年学生们对义乌的创业生态印象深刻。北京大学韩国籍学生李旼九表示："这里不靠海却物流发达，改变了我的认知。"南京大学的张顺泳则对商贸城繁忙的交易场景感到"热血沸腾"。
"City of Entrepreneurship" Attracts Global Youth
In the recent "Yiwu Path - Global Youth Entrepreneurship Training Program", South Korean students were impressed by Yiwu's entrepreneurial ecosystem. Peking University's South Korean student Lee Min-gu said: "It's not coastal but has developed logistics, which changed my perception." Nanjing University's Jang Sun-young found the busy trading scenes at the market "thrilling".
上半年经济数据亮眼
义乌市统计局数据显示，2023年上半年：
- GDP达882.14亿元，同比增长6.5%
- 进出口总额2222.5亿元，增长32.8%
- "义新欧"班列开行808列，增长9.5%
- 快递业务量42.45亿件，居全国前五

Yiwu Statistics Bureau data shows in first half of 2023:
- GDP reached 88.214 billion yuan, up 6.5% YoY
- Total import-export volume 222.25 billion yuan, up 32.8%
- "Yixin'ou" trains operated 808 trips, up 9.5%
- Express delivery volume 4.245 billion parcels, top 5 nationally
