JavaScript does not provide support for the traditional concept of inline functions as C or C++. Accordingly, there is no distinction between inline and anonymous functions. They are created during the runtime as opposed to regular functions. Description of inline functionAn inline function is a special function type that can be incorporated into a JavaScript statement which means rather than having separate functions for every action that is needed, it is possible to include the function code inside the statement. Other possible uses of inline functions are iterating through arrays or responding to user events/ touch events. Also since inline functions are part of the statement, they can help in reducing the overall size of your program code while improving the program code structure as well. Syntax for inline functionsTo write an inline function, you have to use the correct syntax. An inline function comprises two parts: the function declaration and the function body. The function declaration looks like any other JavaScript function, except that it must start with the keyword 'function' and be followed by parentheses. Then, you simply enclose the body of your function within curly brackets - these contain the actual code for your function. Remember that an inline function needs to be declared before it can be used. This means the function needs to be declared before the use of any other part of the code, and the function needs to be declared in the same scope as the code that uses it so that it's available for use.
