The Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 — 5 inch (Portrait) is a compact multi-touch capacitive touchscreen that connects via the DSI port and draws power from the GPIO, offering plug-and-play simplicity with all compatible Raspberry Pi models except the Zero series. A portrait-oriented panel with 720 × 1280 24-bit RGB resolution, it delivers sharp visuals, five-finger touch support, and anti-glare treatment for clear viewing and responsive input.

The active area measures approximately 62.1 × 110.4 mm within a 155 × 88 mm body, and the viewing angle is about 80°—slightly narrower than its 7-inch sibling. It’s powered directly from the Pi via GPIO, and only a DSI ribbon cable is required for display and touch, making assembly clean and straightforward.

Integrated with Raspberry Pi OS, the display works immediately without calibration or driver fuss, and its compact design makes it well suited to embedded controls, smart-home interfaces, portable dashboards, and interactive kiosks. It will remain in production until at least January 2030, ensuring long-term project consistency and support.
