Project Report Guidelines
for
Bachelor of Computer Applications
Information Related to Project Report
The objective of the B.C.A. project work is to develop quality software solution. The primary
emphasis of the project work is to understand and gain the knowledge of the principles of
software engineering practices.
Students should take this project work seriously, as these efforts will be considered as six
months software development experience.
The project should be genuine and original in nature and should not be copied from
anywhere else. If found copied, then it will not considered for partial fulfilment for award
of degree.
Note: Every student has to submit Synopsis-I and final Project Report as per schedule
by the department.

4. Zero Level DFD / System Flowchart
5. System Design with respect to assigned Project

Note:
The above is meant to serve as a guideline for preparation of the project proposal
(Synopsis). The students may add or modify some of the above-mentioned points
depending upon their relevance to the project and with the consultation of the project
guide for the same.
The report should be typed in A-4 size paper with following formatting pattern:
a) Font: Times New Roman
b) Main Heading Font Size: 16
c) Sub Heading Font Size: 14
d) Text Font Size: 12
e) The line spacing should be 1.5
The synopsis shall be typed on one side only with a following margin:
a) Left: 1.5 cm
b) Right: 1.25 cm
c) Top and Bottom: 1.25 cm
The header should contain the project name and footer should have page number and
registration ID of student.

2. Certificate from your guide about the submission of work done under his/her guidance,
Internal Supervisor.
