FishOS Deployer
FishOS Deployer is a time-saving tool built on Ansible scripts for rapid, automated deployment of the FishOS cloud platform and Ceph storage (if Ceph is needed).
The component streamlines the setup process with an intuitive interface and built-in high availability. Since everything is automated, it minimizes manual labour, getting your system up and running in record time (as little as the time it takes to drink two cups of coffee).
FishOS Workload Manager
FishOS Workload Manager is Sardina Systems’ comprehensive solution for optimizing resource utilization and cloud operations. It contains three decision engines that efficiently allocate VMs, balance workloads, and ultimately enhance system performance.
Workload Manager components collect and analyze real-time resource usage data. Then they use intelligent algorithms to make decisions about right-placing and rebalancing workloads. As a result, it maximizes server utilization without compromising performance.
FishOS Billing
The component’s goal is to track and report resource usage of users. In addition, it provides an intuitive dashboard to streamline the billing process for service operators. FishOS Billing offers automated balance calculation, invoice generation, and convenient user payment management.
The component can be used either to track resource usage and generate customized CSV reports or manage the billing process. It automatically generates PDF invoices based on defined billing periods and sends them to users. For overdue payments, the system can automatically limit users’ access to projects and restore it when the payment is done.
Health Monitoring Service
Health Monitoring is a comprehensive service designed to safeguard your cloud infrastructure. It combines our uniquely developed FishOS Health Engine with modified open-source components to effectively identify and prevent potential problems.
FishOS Health Engine continuously analyzes real-time metrics and log data collected by Time Series Database, FishOS Grafana Loki, and Pipeline and Conditional Engine. It uses our advanced proprietary algorithms and a ‘computer immunology’ approach to predict and ultimately prevent critical system states before they affect operations.
FishOS Move It Migration Appliance
In addition to our components, Sardina Systems also offers a comprehensive toolset for a seamless migration from VMware and other proprietary solutions to FishOS. Delivered as a virtual machine image, FishOS Move It includes two parts: the command-line tool for planning and initiating migration and the migration tool, which handles the process itself.
FishOS Cannery
FishOS Cannery provides protection and back up of the FishOS platform data. It enables flexible scheduling for automated database backups and recovery.
The component can be configured to automatically back up your system data at specific intervals. It performs backups of the entire FishOS environment, including core and ancillary OpenStack components.

FishOS Upgrader

Base Operating System

FishOS Ceph
Sardina Systems offers Ceph storage as a part of FishOS, providing a unified solution for deployment, operations, and upgrade phases. FishOS Ceph removes fragmented licensing and any possible hidden costs associated with disparate solutions.
Our expert team seamlessly integrates Ceph storage for your specific needs with a possibility to develop a custom storage solution from scratch. Please note that using Ceph is not mandatory, FishOS is compatible with other storage solutions as well.

FishOS Placement Engine
As a part of Workload Manager, the component is responsible for the smart allocation of VMs across the infrastructure. It ensures optimal server utilization by placing virtual machines on the most suitable hypervisor based on real-time data.
FishOS Placement is launched upon a request to place a new VM. It uses real-time data and smart algorithms to analyse the system state and available capacity and accordingly schedules the VM to an optimal host.
FishOS Rebalancing Engine
FishOS Rebalancing continuously optimizes your infrastructure by analyzing resource usage and performing live VM migrations without system interruption. This ensures optimal resource allocation and prevents performance bottlenecks.
Like FishOS Placement, the component uses real-time system data to select and prioritize VMs for migration. Then it automatically live-migrates VMs across the infrastructure, ensuring optimal server utilization. This cyclical process is repeated at pre-defined intervals (every 30 minutes by default, but you can easily change it to shorter or longer intervals) and maintains the system in an optimal state.
FishOS Power Engine
Also called Sustainability Engine, FishOS Power Engine automatically reduces energy consumption by turning off idle hypervisors when the workload is low (for example, at night times) and turning them back on as demand rises. Power Engine is launched after each rebalancing process and ensures high availability, optimizing energy usage at all times.
After analysing live resource usage data, the component automatically powers down a specific number of unused hypervisors, leaving several reserved hosts on. When there is a request to place a new VM requires placement, the engine automatically activates a host from the hot reserve, avoiding workload disruption.
FishOS CDN (Content Delivery Network)
FishOS CDN is crucial for organizations dealing with content-heavy applications. It is a system of distributed servers that deliver content to users based on their geographic location, as well as content origin and delivery server. This ultimately leads to reduced latency and faster content load times.
