    At Hugimals World, emotional well-being is at the heart of everything they do. Founder Marina Khidekel spent years as a journalist covering mental health before creating Hugimals—a line of weighted stuffed animals designed with therapists to provide comfort to children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety and stress. Her inspiration comes from personal experience: “I needed something that would help me with my own anxiety, especially at night. Weighted blankets were too hot and heavy for me, and I couldn’t find a beautifully designed weighted stuffed animal – one that could ease stress in adults as well as kids and was weighted throughout that could truly hug back. So I created it!” As an independent small business owner, one of the most transformative decisions she made was launching Hugimals on Amazon. “Amazon has been crucial in helping us reach customers who rely on our products for emotional support and comfort. It has become one of the primary ways people discover Hugimals, and we’re incredibly grateful for that impact on our mission,” Marina shared. Giving back remains central to Hugimals. Through their partnership with the Joyful Heart Foundation, 10% of proceeds from three colors of their Heart to Hug Pillows support survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse. “We also donate Hugimals to hospitals, including C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Michigan, where our plushies provided comfort to patients just when their plush supplies ran low,” Marina shared. Together, Hugimals World and Amazon are helping create a world where comfort is accessible to all.

    What a great celebration of events! On November 6th, we honored both Amazon's 25th Anniversary of partnering with small businesses and the 7th Annual Enthuse Foundation Pitch Competition. Amazon was a proud sponsor of the Support Small pop up experience which showcased 10 incredible women-owned Amazon sellers, and we also hosted an inspiring fireside chat with Beyond the Bib and Tuck and Bundle founders, our Amazon x Enthuse grant recipients. Congratulations to the pitch competition winners runner-up Bake Me Healthy Love and grand prize winner Defi Snacks.
