Naming and context

- [Instructor] Welcome to our final video on dashboard improvements. We've already structured our dashboard and made it accessible. Now let's add proper context and naming to make it truly useful for all users. Context is fundamental for how quickly users are able to derive information from your dashboards. There are a couple of subtle ways you can improve context in your new and existing dashboards. The first is clear and comprehensive labeling. Clear labeling is a foundational aspect of providing context. Every panel should be properly labeled with descriptive titles and descriptions. Units of measurements also need to be properly stated. If a user that has never seen the dashboard is able to quickly understand what each panel represents, you have done a great job. In chapter three, we discussed how to add annotations both manually and automatically from external systems. Take advantage of this to add relevant context to your panels.
