From Oregon Mint to Girl Scout Thin Mints™! When I first started Honey Mama’s, my vision was to create treats that celebrated joy, nourishment, and connection. Our Oregon Mint bar was one of my earliest recipes. A gorgeously simple yet bold combination of flavor and texture that quickly became an OG favorite. Today, I’m filled with awe and gratitude as that original idea has evolved into something far bigger: the Honey Mama's x Girl Scout Thin Mints™ Chocolate Fudge Bar, inspired by the iconic Girl Scout Cookie™. This launch is more than a new flavor. It’s a total reflection of growth. It’s about honoring our roots, embracing brands that align with our values, and sharing the joy of nourishing, decadent treats with even more people. Creating a bar that is inspired by an iconic Girl Scout Cookie™ and celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit of Girl Scouts has been such a natural process. The Girl Scout Cookie Program® is the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world, and this new flavor launch is a proud reminder of how we hope Honey Mama’s shows up in the world: as a source of empowerment, delight, and nourishment. A couple of weeks ago, Honey Mama's had the joy of participating in The Coconut Cult NYC Pop Up Collab Lab, and I came home feeling inspired, invigorated and grateful to be part of the experience. We met so many incredible founders, influencers, fans, and other brands in the natural food and bev space, and it was purely uplifting to see our longtime brand friends at Coconut Cult showing up in this way - not only for their brand and community, but for a wide swath of brands in our CPG ecosystem in order to lift up and celebrate everyone. Here is to more of this, and to the collective effort of our vibrant CPG ecosystem to shift the status quo from ultra processed foods by way of our own unique expression of deliciousness, authenticity, heart, soul, innovation and F-U-N. Nothing quite like crackin’ open a cold one after a long run… 🍫🍻   (And by “cold one,” I mean an ice-cold Honey Mama's Protein Crunch Bar 😉)  This past Friday, we had the joy of fueling 12,000 Hood to Coast runners at the OMSI exchange of the famous 196 mile relay—on the hottest day all summer 🥵. With extra coolers, mountains of ice, and a lot of heart, racers from all 50 states had the perfect recovery fuel.  As a lifelong Portlander, this race always feels special: from Mt. Hood to the Seaside coast, it celebrates the beauty of Oregon and the grit of our running community. Truth be told, I hesitated to sample at such a hot event (our bars melt above 75 degrees after all!) but our team went all in with our own special kind of ‘made to order’ sampling. What I learned? On a sweltering day, nothing hits like an ice-cold snack 🧊 Our Protein Crunch Bars are fudgy, crunchy, and perfectly chilled—made with a limited number of real, whole-food ingredients, and never sacrificing taste. Two weeks ago my brother Alexander Lukic, PA-C achieved something truly extraordinary. He completed IRONMAN Thun Switzerland!! Ironman is one of the most grueling endurance events in the world, and the Thun course is known for offering athletes breathtaking beauty and brutality in equal measure: 🏊♂️ 2.4 miles of open-water swimming in glacial Lake Thun 🚴♂️ 112 miles of cycling with 7,000 feet of punishing elevation through the hills of the Swiss countryside 🏃♂️ 26.2 mile marathon through a historic medieval village under the shadow of Thun Castle The discipline, grit, and heart it takes to cross that finish line is unimaginable for me. When I was going to sleep in Portland, he was swimming. When I woke up the next day, he was running. 1,600 athletes. 65 countries represented. After he finished, we all asked about the hardest part of the race. He simply said "All the training in the previous months." Watching his dedication to the hours, consistency, and determination to push through every mental and physical barrier has been a powerful reminder of what's possible when you fully commit to a goal. It's also been a reminder of partnership. Alex said "I think anyone who has done one will I’m sure say that if you’re doing an Ironman, your spouse is basically doing one too." My sister-in-law Emily Lukic is the most encouraging and active contributor toward every goal he sets. This time, it was riding her bike next to him on the long runs, early mornings at the pool, taking over all meal prep for months, and being on board to travel for the race in Switzerland. I’m deeply proud Alex represented Honey Mama's on this journey, wearing a branded tri suit during the race. I love this brand and all it represents, centered around fueling life with joy, wellness, and resilience -- values he embodied every step (and stroke, and pedal) of the way.
