4. Step By Step Explanation

1. The program starts by prompting the user to input a number, which we store in the variable num.

2. We then use the modulus operator (%). If num modulo 2 is 0, then the number is even. Otherwise, it's odd.

3. Based on this condition, we print out whether the number is even or odd. For instance, when the user enters 7, the output is "7 is odd" as showcased above.
