CRC is unique for each file and only changes if the file is edited. It is used to check whether the file had accidentally corrupted while transfer. If the CRC is the same after the transfer, it means that the file had not been accidentally corrupted. Syntax of `cksum` command in Linuxcksum [FileName] Note: An intruder can corrupt a file in such a way that it produces the same CRC value after the transfer.
